Nominating an Ambassador

How the Process Works:
Schools submits Nomination form for primary nominee & an alternate nominee below.
***NOTE: If the form states that it is closed within the active dates, it is likely your school’s browser blocking it. Please try opening the form in “incognito mode” on a computer or in a “private browser” tab on your mobile device***
MLS emails the Registration form to the primary nominee & their parent/guardian, with the school contact CC’ed. (Please allow up to one week for this email to be sent)
Parent/guardian completes Registration form/paperwork with ambassador.
MLS confirms with parent/guardian & school that registration is received.
If we do not hear from your primary nominee, we will contact your alternate nominee for them to get registered to attend.
Who Should Be Nominated?
Current sophomore in high school
Demonstrates leadership potential through school, community, work, family, extracurricular activities, or personal initiative
Shows a willingness to learn, grow, & engage with others
Would benefit from a weekend focused on leadership development & personal growth
Will represent (as an ambassador) their school & home community starting on MLS weekend, extending their knowledge & growth to their larger communities after Commencement
*In addition to a primary nominee, schools should also identify an alternate nominee who can attend if the primary nominee is unable to participate.*

The nomination form requests basic school information, including the school's address and contact information. You will also need the student's name, phone number, and email address, as well as the parent/guardian's name, phone number, and email address for both your primary nominee and alternate nominee.

Nothing! Attendance, lodging, meals, and programming are provided at no cost to families and schools. The only thing MLS does not cover is transportation to and from Seminar. We do not want transportation to be a barrier for your nominated student, please reach out to registration@moleadership.com so that we can explore potential transportation assistance.

Some students may be hesitant to participate simply because they are unsure of what to expect. Encourage students to view MLS as an opportunity to meet students from across Missouri, make new friends, and develop valuable leadership and communication skills. Students who plan to attend college can gain experiences to highlight on college and scholarship applications, while students entering the workforce or pursuing other paths can build skills, confidence, and connections that will benefit them after high school. MLS also gives students the chance to experience a college campus while participating in a fun weekend away from home.

Each school may nominate one primary student and one alternate student. MLS will not contact the alternate unless the primary nominee is unable to attend or does not complete registration. If we have not heard from the primary nominee by February 1, 2027, we will first notify the school before reaching out to the alternate nominee.

MLS covers the cost of attendance for the primary nominee. The cost for each additional student's room and board is $350. If your school is interested in sending more than one student, we encourage you to explore fundraising opportunities or seek support from local organizations such as the Optimist Club, Elks Lodge, or other community groups. The nomination form requests both current and future contact information to help MLS maintain communication throughout the nomination and registration process. If your school's contact information changes after submitting a nomination, please email registration@moleadership.com so we can update our records.
